Paulo Martina
Also a valued member of the balloting committee. Drs Paulo Martina has been director of Musea Zutphen since 2023. Paulo Martina was born in Curaçao in 1964. When he was twelve, he came to the Netherlands. In 1994, he obtained his master's degree in Art History from the University of Amsterdam, specialising in the Newest Period. For nine years, he was director-manager of Museum Dr8888. Under his leadership, the Museum in Drachten grew from a Frisian regional museum to a national museum of modern art, with an international reach. As director of Museum Dr8888, his positions included being a member of the steering committee ‘100 Years De Stijl - From Mondrian to Dutch Design’, participating in the celebration of ‘DADA 100’ and producing various events that formed part of the main programme of Leeuwarden Cultural Capital 2018. From 2019, he was director of Museum van Bommel van Dam in Venlo. He successfully led the transition to the new accommodation of this museum in the former monumental main post office. He was not only responsible for raising the necessary funds and supervising the construction, but also for the multi-year policy plan and setting up the new organisation.
Raoul Locht
Raoul Locht (Sorengo (Switzerland), 1976) studied art and cultural philosophy and journalism at the University of Groningen and the University of Amsterdam. From 2003 to 2014, he was publisher and editor-in-chief of both the magazines Atelier and kM (artists' material) and several art books. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as project manager at the National Art Platform for, among others, the Annual Dutch Art Fair (ADAF), the elections Painting of the Year, Drawing of the Year and the Van Gogh Painting Competition 2015. Peter Buisman
Peter has been committed to visual artists in the Netherlands for many years. Among others, as chairman of Kunstkring Prins Alexander (association cooperation of 85 local artists), chairman of Stichting De Witte Bollen (management of art in the outdoor space of Rotterdam-Prins Alexander), chairman of Stichting Art Imaginaire (art collection), chairman balloting committee KPA. He is also author of the book Kunst in Ommoord (4th revised edition - 2018) and is active in various juries related to art/photography/creativity, such as Kunst aan de Kade 2019 in Delft.
